Upon arrival, kids receive a welcome backpack containing goodies. The complimentary Sugar Palm Kids Club for ages four to 14 operates daily 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and three evenings each week from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (evenings change each week). Kids play beach games, take nature walks, create crafts, romp on a pirate ship playground, and go on treasure hunts (no word on whether Captain Jack Sparrow left anything behind). During the Christmas holidays, the resort opens a teen room and hosts teen biking outings and beach volleyball games.

The Trump International Golf Club, which has been named "Best Golf Course" for 2005 by Robb Report, is where golfers will believe that they have found heaven on earth. It is home to the resort's challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Jim Fazio. Offering unparalleled views of the bay, the course stretches for 60 acres along the sea front -- half of the course is built on the flat coastal plain and the other half is carved out of the hillside above the bay and the resort. The golf course has three distinct settings.

The front nine holes, #10, and #18 are in an amphitheater setting with one side open to view the ocean. Holes #11-16 and #17 are called the reservoir holes, which play above and around the lake that irrigates the golf course. Two streams flow into this lake from 30 meters above, cascading down and over the man-made retention walls. Holes #12-15 are the most scenic holes on the course and the most challenging. They sit on the top of the ridge and have a spectacular view of the neighboring islands. The breeze at the top of the ridge adds to the challenge, but makes these holes the most sensational to play.
