Named
after the beautiful Canouan bay, this villa-studded resort opens
onto a beautiful white-sand beach set on 121 hectares (300 acres).
It is the latest reincarnation of the Carenage Bay Club, which
was once hailed as one of the grandest and most luxurious resorts
in the southern Caribbean. The Raffles incarnation has even better
facilities and more comfortable bedrooms. 
Opening
onto Carenage Bay, each accommodation is a villa suite set near
the beach. The golf course has been extended to a full 18 holes,
and a deluxe European-style casino has been added. Each suite
comes with its own private terrace. Decorated in pastels, the
bedrooms have a light, airy, tropical feel. Rooms come in a variety
of categories from deluxe through luxurious suites. The Caribbean's
largest hotel pool is one of the allures, lying at the edge of
the beach. Top chefs, often Italian, have been imported to turn
out a first-rate cuisine that begins with an opulent breakfast
buffet and ends with late night Continental dining.
