Canouan Island has a full range of activities, based around Canouan's miles of white sand and clear water will be available for the sports orientated guest. Sunfish, snorkel gear, wind surfing, Hydro-bikes and pedalos will be available on a complimentary basis. Scuba diving and day sails can be arranged.

The resort’s tennis center at Godhal Beach offers four all weather tennis courts floodlit for night play, pro-shop, rental equipment, and resident tennis professionals.

Day trips can be organized to one or more of the following islands: Tobago Cay's, Mayreau, Petit Tabac, Palm Island, Union Island, Petit St. Vincent, Morpion, Mustique and Bequia.Canouan and the Grenadines, is where "Pirates of the Caribbean" II and III were filmed. Canouan Island Eventures Carenage Bay Resort in Canouan Island is the ideal place to gather your top-level clients and executives for work and pleasure.

The resort features one boardroom and five meeting rooms near the main Piazza, totalling 1480 square feet (138 square metres). In addition, at the Villa Monte Carlo there is one Grand Ballroom, the Villa Club, which can facilitate up to 300 people reception style. Catering for small to mid-size exclusive events, we offer dedicated Conference Service Managers, who will act as your personal DMC during your stay. Conferences, private dining and receptions are conducted in the elegant ballroom, the executive first-class lounge of the Villa Monte Carlo, or at our Conference Centre, located near the resort's Piazza. The Villa Monte Carlo features a private kitchen, lounge area and a terrace that overlooks the resort and the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. Depending on the venue you choose, we can accommodate events for 10 to 350 guests.

Canouan Island Resort to Change Management

Canouan Resorts Development Ltd (CRD) has announced that, after a five-year partnership, Raffles/Fairmont Resorts will no longer manage Canouan Island Resort in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The resort will revert back to ownership operation as Carenage Bay Resort beginning May 20, when it will resume taking reservations.

"In keeping with the serious reduction in business to the Caribbean, it has been decided that the business model of the Resort product in Canouan will therefore be undergoing changes within the coming months," wrote Achille Pastor-Ris, president of CEO of CRD, in a statement. "Canouan Resorts Development Ltd's real estate division The Grenadines Estate and construction company CCA Ltd have and continue to successfully develop the private residences, which now include 30 homes with over 100 bedrooms. It is anticipated that a Villa Rental program will be introduced during 2011. It is the intention of the ownership, CRD Ltd as Carenage Bay to continue to provide first class services to home owners and their guests which will include, for the time being, a reduced hotel services operation."

A 19th-century Anglican Church, brought to the island stone by stone from England at the end of the last century, has been lovingly restored and can be found in the center of the resort. The church now features beautiful murals and stained-glass windows by renowned Italian artist Costanzo Rovati. Raffles' guests can hold their wedding ceremonies in the church, subject to the usual legal requirements. A special Wedding Coordinator will be on hand to assist at all times.
